Lung Ching Green Tea

If you’re an avid tea drinking person then it’s probably impossible if you haven’t heard about the Lung Ching green tea of China.

The Lung Ching green tea or Dragon Well tea for others is considered as the National Drink of China. It’s a green tea variety that grows in the Hangzhou region of the Zheijang province in China. This specific type of tea variety is famous for its wonderful nutty taste, pleasant aroma and color that resemble jade.

The tea leaves are flat and long and resemble a vibrant green color. During the picking process the leaves are immediately heated in order to prevent it from undergoing a natural fermentation process which produces its jade color and pleasant aroma. There are also a lot of varieties and each variety has a different price depending on the variety’s rarity.

This tea has been the pride of China and has been served to several foreign leaders who happen to visit their country. As a result, the tea is considered as the favorite tea of world leaders and a portion of the whole green tea production goes to government customers whether they’re local or abroad.
